Sport by Schiaparelli c1952

Sport by Schiaparelli: launched in 1952.It was created to be worn by both men and women for sports. This was the updated fragrance originally named 'S', first presented in 1928. Renamed "Schiap" in 1934. Renamed Sport in 1952. And then relaunched again as 'S' in 1961 but for women.

Fragrance Composition:


So what did it smell like? It was a unisex fresh citrus fragrance that was both fresh and bittersweet with dominant notes of madonna lily and hyacinth.
  • Top notes: citrus, madonna lily, hyacinth, lemon, bergamot
  • Middle notes: rose, iris, carnation, jasmine
  • Base notes: vetiver, oakmoss, sandalwood, orris, musk

The Delineator, 1935:
"PERFUMES FOR SPORT. Schiaparelli, the brilliant couturiere, has just put out some perfumes. Her first. "Schiap" which is dedicated to the sportswoman, is our favorite, but for indoors "Salut" is pretty fetching."
